Love With Grace: The Future

“The essence of optimism is that it takes no account of the present, but it is a source of inspiration, of vitality and hope where others have resigned; it enables a man to hold his head high, to claim the future for himself and not to abandon it to his enemy.” ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer

The Best Way to Predict The Future…

Is to create it. This is a slogan I have been living ever since hearing my friend Alan Kay pose it way back in 1978!

When we try to imagine our dreams being real, they seem so far off and unrealistic.

But when we start taking simple steps toward our dreams and visions, we start to build a bridge from here and now all the way to there and them — 5, 10, 1,000 years into the future.

The future starts with your VISION…

I am a man who still has big plans.

Perhaps to some, too big, too fast.

To others, I am in the Goldilocks Zone, not too hot… not too cold… just right!

Right now, in this article, I am creating my future.

My vision is to spend the summer in Barcelona writing the greatest love story ever told.

My role is writer pursuing a wife maybe.

I say maybe because all love stories have a lot of twists and turns that don’t make sense until the last chapter.

I hope the last chapter turns into a new story well beyond just love.

We shall see.

When we wrote Invest With Grace we chose the wood sprite to the upper right to guide our journey down the yellow brick road to Legacy.

We are always at the crossroad…

Of Remorse and regret, or Grace and Hope on our way to the future.

I do want to write a new kind of love story.

With a beautiful, plucky sidekick walking hand in hand into the future.

We shall certainly see how to create the future of our dreams!

God Bless,
Eric Richard Haas

GRACE NOTE: Have you stopped dreaming and just accept life as it is? The key to believing in the beauty of your dreams is to have a dream worth living. Do you?
